The project
Who is involved?

This is a partnership project between the Cairngorms National Park Authority, Scottish Natural Heritage and the University of Aberdeen. Representatives from each of these organisations form the Project Management Group who oversee the work of the Project Officer, Dr Andy Scobie, who is responsible for running the project and delivering action on the ground.

Funding and support for an initial three years of the project has been contributed by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, the Cairngorms National Park Authority, Scottish Natural Heritage via the Species Action Framework, and the University of Aberdeen.

A number of addional partners contribute to the project by sharing information, developing ideas, collaborating on research and delivering action, and they include: Plantlife Scotland, Forest Research, Forestry Commission Scotland, RSPB Scotland, Scottish Wildlife Trust, National Trust for Scotland, Trees for Life, BSBI Scotland, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, the James Hutton Institute as well as a number of private landowners, plant experts, volunteers and wildlife enthusiasts.
